MC-32 ComputersystemVersion 1 Graupner 33032.V1 Description
A few years after the appearance of the mc-24, which has proven itself a thousand times over, the mc-32 takes off at Graupner.
With proven functions and new ideas, it comes in a slick black design that looks great with the all-aluminium frame - which, by the way is no design gag but a supporting element of the overall structure.

Age recommended by manufacturer: 14 years and up

Functions and innovations:
  • Integrated Graupner HoTT 2.4 GHz transmission system
  • Voice and music output via built-in speaker or headphone jack or Bluetooth® v2.1+ EDR
  • Aluminium trim wheels
  • Aluminium side rotary controls
  • Aluminium joystick parts for rigid joystick mechanics with knurled joysticks and 3-function stick switches
  • Simple and extremely fast binding with model-memory-dependent telemetry
  • Range test and warning function
  • Undervoltage warning
  • Extremely wide receiver operating voltage range of 3.6 V to 8.4 V (functional up to 2.5 V)
  • Fail-safe, free channel assignment (channel mapping), mixer functions and all servo settings are simple to program
  • Binding of any number of receivers for channel expansion (32 channels maximum)
  • Up to 7 servos can be controlled simultaneously as a block in a servo cycle time of 10 ms (digital servos only)
  • Maximum noise immunity due to optimised frequency hopping and wider channel spread
  • Intelligent data transfer including error correction
  • Extremely fast rebinding, even at maximum distance
  • Real-time telemetry evaluation in the transmitter display
  • Additionally, telemetry data can also be selectively displayed by the SMART-BOX
  • More than 200 systems can be used simultaneously
  • The HoTT technique of bidirectional communication between transmitter and receiver, as well as the fastest possible transmission rate (10 ms), ensure extremely fast response times.
  • Additional HoTT features of the mc-32:
  • Super-fast response time through use of a fast main processor for data transmission
  • Micro SD card for storage of telemetry data and for additional functions
  • Update capability via USB interface or micro SD card guarantees future viability
  • The LiIo battery supplied has a capacity of 6000 mAh, making extremely long flight times possible and reducing the number of charging processes.
  • Wireless teacher/pupil system or can be connected to the DSC socket via a cable as an option
  • Modulation changeover via software. This enables you to switch, e.g. from Weatronic (EXT. PPM) to HoTT at the touch of a button.
  • Connections for the Weatronic module.
  • iFS and Weatronic can be retrofitted.
  • 5 different languages (German, English, French, Spanish; Italian to follow) available via software update. For the availability of a given language, go to the Download area.
  • 80 model memories and other storage options on the µSD card
  • 8 switches/keys , including 2 x 3-position switches, 3 x 2-position switches, 2 long keys, 2 kill switches already installed
  • Swashplate limiting: This function limits the swashplates tilt angle to prevent the potential for mechanical collision in helicopter 3D operation at full-limit roll and pitch axis
  • Digital trimming by scroll wheel, can be set either for a specific flight phase or globally
  • Zeroing of the digital trimming by simply pressing the scroll wheels
  • Auto-trim function. The current joystick positions for trimming fixed-wing or helicopter models will be stored in trim memory at the touch of a button. ("Balance" model, activate switch and release joystick. The correction will be blended in "gently" upon return of the joystick.)
  • C1 changeover, brake/elec. motor: This changeover can be implemented very easily via enhanced flight phase programming. The pilot determines the joystick position (forward/rear) at which the motor isto be switched off or the airbrakes are to be retracted.
  • 16 proportional control functions maximum
  • Simplified arrangement of operating elements, such as joysticks, external switches, proportional controls and trim levers as control functions
  • Protection against obsolescence is provided by virtue of a fast 32-bit operating system with modern flash memory that can be updated.
  • Blue backlit MULTI-DATA-GRAPHIC LCD monitor with significantly better legibility under unfavourable light conditions
  • CONVENIENT MODE SELECTOR for simple switchover of operating modes 1 - 4 (e.g. throttle left/throttle right)
  • 12 freely programmable mixers for wing or helicopter models, each with freely selectable input and output functions, including 4 curve mixers with innovative 8-point curve technology, easy to set and adjust curve values at up to 8 points for throttle, pitch, tail or other non-linear actuations. The processor in the CPU employs an ingenious method of calculating polynomial approximations for truly-rounded, ideal MPC (multi-point curve) mixer curves
  • Shifting curve mixer points can be done along both axes with the rotary control
  • 8 flight-phase programs can be individually adapted for each model and given a name. The switchover time is programmable separately.
  • SUPER SERVO menu with a perfect overview of all servo setting data and simple parameter correction for 4 "levels" (direction of rotation, mid-point setting, separate servo travel on both sides and separate travel limiting on both sides for 16 servos with a total of 96 possible settings)
  • SUPER-DUAL-RATE, EXPO and EXPO/DUAL-RATE menu with 36 possible settings for 3 servo functions and 8 flight phases
  • Highly practical multi-function menu for fixed-wing and helicopter models. Entry of the number of aileron and flap servos automatically programs all necessary mixer functions in the multi-function "Wing mixers" menu. Differential aileron mixer, butterfly mixer, dual-flap mixer, automatic gyro set function and other special functions
  • Helicopter swashplate mixer for 1, 2, 3 or4-point steering.
  • Selectable cycle time: 10 ms, 20 ms, 30 ms or 40 ms, depending on receiver and operating mode
  • A convenient timers menu with a system of 8 stopwatches, alarm timer, countdown timer, laps counter and so on. 2 running timers and 1 lap/running timer can be displayed at the same time in large characters.
  • Stopwatch with history: in addition to the lap counter there is a time1 which captures the ON time and a time 2 which records the ON and OFF times separately
  • The transmitters operating time timer is automatically reset to zero by the battery charging process.
  • Flight phase switch assignments: now 6 switches, 2 with priority function. Every switch combination can be named freely. This makes the number of flight phases independent of the number of flight phase switches.
  • Linearising switchplate servos: electronic compensation for non-linear travel of swashplate rotary servos.
  • Tail type normal, V-tail, Delta/flying-wing and 2 EL Sv 3+8 (which immediately makes 2 coupled elevator servos available without using free mixers or dual mixers)
  • Flap count up to 4 AIL/4 FL: Full support of 8 wing servos, now even without use of free mixers.
  • Flight phase switching delay, can be switched off: the delay time can be switched off for individual channels flight phase by flight phase (e.g. for motor off in electric models or to activate/deactivate helicopter head lock).
  • 16 phase names:.
  • Fixed-wing mixer: New concept for the multi-flap menu to simplify settings of up to 8 wing servos on a flight-phase-specific basis in a comprehensible manner without requiring the use of free mixers.
  • Number of flight phases: (fixed-wing: 8, helicopter: 7 + AR)
  • Phase trim
  • Switchable Snap-Flap mixer EL => FL with a new offset function for easy course corrections and fast turns
  • 3 ring limiters for Voith-Schneider and similar drives
  • Logical switches
  • Trim memory
  • Multi-channel function to expand channels for up to 14 additional channels
  • Channel sequencer for 3 channels for folding motors and landing gear doors
