WP SPORTYACHT BEATA Graupner 2024 The BEATA sports motor yacht was designed and built at the Swedish Båtbygarna dockyard in the year 2000. The vessel features the beautifully harmonious, flowing lines which are a characteristic of Ocke Mannerfelt´s designs. The hull is identical to that of the B-24 racing boat, which has been very successful in competition racing. As a result the boat is capable of a maximum speed of 50 kn (92 km / hr)! Our model ofthe BEATA was developed using original documents supplied by the Swedish designer, and drawn up to a scale of 1 : 13. The BEATA is intended for the beginner to modelling, and therefore calls for limited manual skill to complete successfully. It is assembled in separate stages, so that the modeller can build the vessel with the facilities he has available. We have intentionally not completed everything at the factory, as we wanted to give the newcomer the chance to learn basic modelling skills on parts which are not crucial to the model technically or visually. Neither is it absolutely essential to apply a painted finish, as all the important decorations are included on the decal sheet. Almost all the parts are supplied as ABS vacuum-mouldings, and many of the parts which would be difficult to make, including hull, RC cradle, deck, wooden hatch cover and cockpit roof, are supplied CNC-trimmed and partly assembled. The laser-cut wooden deck components simplify construction further. The wire parts for the railing and the mast are supplied pre-formed. The kit also includes all the essential fittings as injection-mouldings, including windscreen wipers, lamps etc. The kit contains all the essential drive system components apart from the electric motor.
