The special high-grip rubber provides the crucial advantage in terms of adhesion, especially in so-called "low-grip" conditions, combined with reduced rates of wear. As a good starting combination we recommend 36° tyres front and rear for 1 : 8 cars in ambient temperatures of 20° C. For 1 : 10 scale models 38° front and 40° rearare a good starting point. Basically the softer compounds offer higher grip and the harder compounds lower grip, but combined with reduced rates of wear. At lower temperatures softer compounds are preferred; harder compounds are better at higher temperatures.
